And I think to myself...
What a wonderful world!
We absolutely loved every action filled moment of our trip to Hawaii. We feel like this trip was once in a lifetime for us. Even if we get the chance to go again, our kids made this trip so memorable that it couldn't be repeated in 5, 15 or 30 years.
The sister missionary offered to take our picture. She said, "It's my calling."
La'ie Point. This arch was formed by a tsunami in 1946.
Here we are at the Polynesian Cultural Center. We loved the PCC. The kids learned, laughed and luaued. Every person working there seemed more than overjoyed to greet, teach, serve, entertain and humor us. We loved the dancing, singing, coconut tree climbing, fire twirling, canoe riding, drum playing, and pig hunting.
Here the kids are surrounded by pineapple plants.
Atop Diamond Head Crater. Cool hike to the top of crater made by 2 volcanoes. Lookouts there were built in 1910 to watch for incoming enemies.
Below you see Kassidy finding a coconut floating in the ocean. Brandon then tried his hand at opening the thing. He smashed it on and with rocks. He speared it with a metal pole. He worked and worked and after about an hour he finally opened it and got to taste of its juice. North eastern shore looking at Chinaman's Hat Island
This as about 8am or so. We had this entire beach to ourselves.
