She is not into posing for pictures lately. So I will use a favorite from the recent past. Kassidy was just informed her art was picked for an art show. She felt very honored, her teacher told her she was the only student picked that had not been in art the full year or worked as a T.A.
Her teacher told her she had skill and talent. Yay for Kassidy! She has always used art as a way to communicate. Between the age of 2-5 yrs old, she would paint for literally 4 hours a day. We bought paper in bulk for her. Now she writes lyrics, poems, and stories. She sings, paints, draws, and sculpts.
And as this photo shows, she is a free spirit hiking barefoot. Can't you just feel the slickrock under your feet? She's a wild one!

She must have a strong Nelson strain in her system. that whole Artsy thing seems to run rampant in this family!
Congrats!
Wow! Great. I have seen that coming since she was 3.
I love Miss Kassidy. Truly, a unique and refreshing gal. Way to go girly.
What an honor. Congratulations, girl. I want to see the art, very much.
Yea, Kass! We are so proud of you! Keep painting, drawing, sculpting, and most of all creating whatever you think is beautiful:)
Congratulations Kassidy!
I can hardly wait to see her latest pieces! Take some photos and stick'em on your blog. I would love to sit and admire them. Give her a pinch and a squeeze for me.
PS. You are a good little mama, Bethany! It takes someone pretty amazing to raise a great thinker and a sprouting Picasso!
