Last weekend we took the kids to Miller Farm. With an entrance fee, you can get lost in the corn maze, climb the hay pyramid, drive the pedal tractors, and ride in the little train. They also have the whole cast of CARS painted and available for pictures. Then we climbed aboard a big hay wagon. They drove us out onto the farm and let us pick and harvest food. We were allowed to gather 10 bags per person. We didn't gather near that amount and still came out with a huge load. The kids had a great time digging up potatoes and carrots, picking jalepenos, onions and tomatoes, snipping off broccoli crowns, finding the best melons, squash and pumpkins. It took us about 3 hours. We came away with more than we could carry. Literally.
We will go back next year, but earlier in the season. The melons and tomatoes and such had all ready been hurt by cold weather.
