Hiking Red Rocks Park

Last week we went hiking with the kids. We started in the beautiful foothills west of Denver at the infamous Red Rocks Park near the amphitheater that changed Bono's life and career. We hiked 3 miles north on the Red Rocks Trail to Matthews Winters park near I-70. Played in a stream, saw some 150 yr old gravestones and alot of wildflowers. White Yarrow, Bluebells, Indian Paintbrush, pink wild roses, and countless varieties of yellow blossoms. We turned around and hiked 3 miles back to Red Rocks. Kass and Mitch were troopers, without one word of complaint in the 95 degree weather.
